Makeup Styles to Compliment Your Look

Beauty & Cosmetics, by Anakin.

Makeup should enhance a look, not distract from itMakeup is a fantastic way to boost your look and create unique and interesting styles. Makeup should always be flattering and complimentary to your face. This means that instead of attempting to create a feature or transform a look, it should be used to highlight positive attributes that already exist, and to de-emphasize less attractive or unwanted factors such as blemishes or disproportionate elements. There are several ways to do this which all depend on exactly what you want to achieve.

Glamour Styles

Of the more glamorous and dramatic styles that can be achieved with makeup is the smoky-eye look. This style is great for parties, evening occasions and dinners in which you want to stand out and look as glam as possible. To achieve this, use dark eye shadow, eye liner and lashings of mascara to make your eyes pop. It is very important to go easy on lipstick here, as a heavy lip combined with a heavy eye is not a good look and can be very dense. Try false eyelashes to give an extra boost and some sheer shimmer on the upper balls of your cheeks for a subtle accent.

Every day Styles

Every day, easy-to-wear makeup styles include those that are subtle, clean, fresh and quite natural. This means that earthy and natural tones such as browns, golds, beiges, light greys and pinks should be used primarily on eyes, cheeks and lips. The aim here is to look like hardly any makeup is being worn so stick to natural hues and soft lines to create a look of natural beauty. Cheap and discount makeup is a great way to experiment with looks and colors without spending too much money. Go for all-in-one moisturizers and foundations to save time and cover imperfections while still retaining a dewy complexion.

Creating a makeup look that works for you means identifying your best features and deciding what looks best. Experiment with different styles and brands to find the most flattering looks for you and then invest in the products that will make these looks easy to achieve.
